The Bavary 2-burner induction cooker (also often referred to as the Double Induction Cooker) is the extended version of the 1-burner variant. This model is ideal if you want to cook a full meal (e.g. pasta and sauce at the same time) in places where there is no fixed gas connection, such as a holiday home, student room or during a kitchen renovation.

Key features

  • Total Power: Usually 3500W. This is often split between the two burners (e.g. 2000W on the left and 1500W on the right).

  • Controls: Two independent touch-control panels with LED displays. You can set the temperature or wattage per zone.

  • Temperature range: Adjustable from 60°C to 240°C (usually in 20-degree increments).

  • Timer: Features a digital timer (often up to 180 minutes), after which the plate switches off automatically.

  • Dimensions: The plate is about 60 cm wide and 36 cm deep, so it fits most countertops.

Key Benefits

  1. Speed: Thanks to induction technology, water boils almost twice as fast as on a traditional electric hob.

  2. Safety: The plate remains relatively cool outside the cooking zone. Moreover, it features pan recognition (switches off without a pan) and often a child lock.

  3. Easy Cleaning: The surface is crystal glass. As the plate itself does not get red-hot, overcooked leftovers do not burn in immediately.

Points of interest

  • Pans: You need pans with magnetic bottoms. A simple test: does a fridge magnet stick to the bottom? Then it is suitable.

  • Power consumption: At 3500W, the plate consumes quite a bit of power when both burners are on full power. It can simply be plugged into a standard socket(1-phase), but it is recommended not to use other heavy appliances (such as a kettle) on the same power group when cooking at full power.
