The LAV Duru tea glasses (set of 6) with product code DUR306E is a popular choice for lovers of modern and minimalist design. LAV, alongside Pasabahçe, is one of Turkey's largest glass producers and is known for their innovative shapes and strong value for money.
Here is the explanation on this particular model:
Design and styling
The Duru model differs from the traditional tulip-shaped tea glass.
-
Minimalist: The glass has a clean, slightly flared shape without much fuss or decoration.
-
Elegant simplicity: The focus is on the clarity of the glass and straight lines, giving it a modern look that fits into almost any interior.
-
Grip: The subtle widening towards the top makes the glass comfortable to hold and the top rim cooler while drinking.
Technical specifications
-
Volume: Approximately 155 ml (per glass). This is slightly larger than the standard Turkish tea glass (which is usually around 125 ml).
-
Material: High-quality, lead-free glass.
-
Dishwasher safe: Yes, the glasses retain their shine even after many machine washes.
-
Heat resistance: specially designed for hot drinks; the glass can handle the temperature of boiling water without any problems.
Uses
Although sold as tea glasses, the Duru line's sleek shape makes it multifunctional:
-
Turkish/Moroccan Tea: The generous capacity is ideal for those who like a slightly larger cup of tea.
-
Espresso / Lungo: The transparent glass makes the coffee layers (crema) beautifully visible.
-
Desserts: Because of their sleek shape, these glasses are also often used for luxury amuse-bouches or small desserts (such as panna cotta).
Important to know
Note: The set DUR306E only contains the 6 glasses. Unlike some 12-piece sets, this does not include coasters as standard. You can combine these glasses with universal glass saucers or serve them directly on a wooden tray for a modern look.
